Posting Your First Storage Unit Auction on StorageHunt

StorageHunt provides a user-friendly platform for facility owners to post and manage storage unit auctions. This guide will walk you through the process of creating your first auction listing.

Accessing the Platform

  1. Log In
    Access your StorageHunt account through the sign-in page.

  2. New User Registration
    If you don't have an account, sign up for a new one on the registration page.

Creating an Auction Listing

  1. Navigate to Auctions
    Once logged into the dashboard, click on the "Auctions" tab in the left sidebar or the "Create" button in the top left corner.

  2. Enter Unit Details
    Provide the following information:

    • Unit number

    • Approximate size of unit

    • Approximate number of items (optional)

    • Sealed status (Yes/No)

  3. Configure Auction Settings

    • Set start and end dates for your auction (recommended duration: at least 2 weeks)

    • Optionally set an initial starting bid price

  4. Describe Unit Contents
    Enter a description of what's visible at the front of the unit. This helps bidders assess the unit's contents.

  5. Upload Visual Content

    • Add at least 3 high-quality photos showing the entire entrance of the unit

    • Optionally upload a video of cutting the lock and placing a tamper tag
