How do I know the unit hasn’t been altered by the facility?

We understand your concern about the integrity of storage units and the items they contain. It's important to note that storage facilities are legally obligated to adhere to state lien laws and prescribed procedures when it comes to their units. These laws ensure a fair and standardized process for handling units that are behind on rent.

Storage facilities primarily operate by renting out storage units, not by selling the items within them. Their goal is to re-rent units as quickly as possible to continue their business operations. As a result, altering the contents of a unit would not align with their operational objectives.

At StorageHunt, we take this matter seriously. We've established a requirement that storage facilities must not tamper with the contents of their units. Any violation of this requirement could lead to their removal from the StorageHunt Platform. This policy is in place to uphold the trust and transparency that underpin the storage auction experience.

Rest assured that storage facilities have a vested interest in maintaining the authenticity of their units. Their adherence to legal procedures and our stringent platform requirements collectively ensure that the items within a unit remain untouched until the rightful buyer successfully acquires it through the auction process.
